Gently pushing the boat out...

🌊🌊🌊🌊

On Monday, I woke up in Mexico and I applied to incorporate my new business in the US state of Wyoming.

A few moments ago, I was chatting away with a friendly couple originally from Manchester where I was, until recently, planning on basing myself and setting up shop.

It’s funny how life turns out.

I’m writing this from a beach club in Playa del Carmen, a beautiful saxophone playing a light dance track over the speakers. I’ve realised I do good work to music, whether it’s in my ears (well, ear, one of my earphones was lost in transit between Florida and Mexico), or over the speakers in bars or, my personal favourite, live music.

God do I love music. If you read my last letter, that might not come as much of a surprise.

But I’m only continuing to realise just how much I love music.

Whether it’s music or words, I’ve realised I live for stories. I live for stories, I live through stories and I, Jasraj, am a story. Ultimately that’s what we all are, stories.

When I put it like that, it’s no wonder that I care so much about helping people tell their stories.

It just so happens that the people I choose are business owners and folks with ADHD. It doesn’t have to be both though, if you resonate with both of those then, blimey, you and I have some things in common, amigo. That’ll be a firm handshake and pat on the back you get if we have the pleasure of meeting.

Anyway, here’s what I want to share with you today.

I want to share with you the THREE things that are going to occupy my business and creative life this year.

Short version: helping businesses, helping folks with ADHD, getting back to podcasting.

Longer version:

Over the coming weeks I’m going to share with you the journey of re-emerging from my career break and building this two-day-old baby that I’ve called ‘four rivers’, as honestly and openly as I possibly can.

I’ve tried to hold back and be all proper and such, but that really doesn’t see, to work for me.

In the words of Kid Cudi, I am purely and simply… Just What I am 🎶

So with that in mind, holding up my yard of non-alcoholic pina colada as I type this part out with one hand… cheers!

Thanks for being here, you beautiful thing you.
